They connect your company to your ideas, products and website. Poorly done and they can ruin your companies chance of success. Poorly done and they’ll give your potential customer a feeling that your company and website is amateurish and not safe to do business with. Well done and your chance of survival greatly increases.
Many new companies make the mistake of trying to do their own logo. Unless you’re extremely creative and good at graphic design this is not a good path to take. There are numerous places that you can get a logo made for a great price. Below are three sections that can help you with your logo. Take the extra step and hire a professional logo designer… you’ll be glad you did. If you would like our opinion on your logo, design, colors, etc… send us an email, we’ll be glad to help.
There are many budget priced logo design companies. A few of which I’ll list below. You’ll also find a list of logo design blogs and inspiration sites. Is there a favorite design company, blog or inspiration site of yours that’s not listed below? Comment and let me know.
Logo design companies…
Logo Design Team: The Logo Design team is a company I’ve personally used several times and each time I’ve been very happy with the results. They offer a starter package for $69 that will get you 3 concepts from 3 designers. Their best selling package, which is what I’ve always gone with is $149. For this “Best Seller” package you’ll get 7 concepts from 7 designers and unlimited revisions.
Logo Design Pros: I’ve heard good things about this company but have never used them personally. They offer a “Start-up Business Package” for $198. This package gets you 4 concepts with unlimited revisions.
LogoBee: LogoBee offers a special package that’s priced at $239. With a coupon you can get this package for $199… see their site for details. This special package gives you 6 designs, 6 revisions and done within 5 days.
LogoMojo: LogoMojo has a basic package for $195. This starter package will get you 4 concepts from 2 designers and they’ll give you 2 revisions.
99design: 99designs offers a different method to help you have a logo created. You basically host your own design contest. Post your ideas and needs and an open market of designers will start working on your project. You communicate with the various designers as they submit their ideas. Once you finalize the one you like, you pick the winner. Their pricing for a logo contest starts at $295.
HatchWise: HatchWise is another design contest site. Post a logo project for $29, plus a prize of at least $100 and the contest begins. The winning logo design that you pick gets the prize.
Elance: Elance is a site where you put your project up for bid. You post the details and designers will submit a bid. Once you pick the winning bid, the designer communicates directly with you about revisions, concepts, etc. The price will depend on the bid you pick. I’ve used Elance several times for logos and one time for a programming job I needed to have done. The trick with using Elance is to make sure you study your potential designer carefully. Look through their portfolio and reviews. Get the terms laid out very clearly on what you expect from the designer, the timing of the job, and the amount of revisions you would like included.
Freelancer: Freelancer is similar to Elance. Post your job, pick the winning bidder and get your logo made by the designer you pick. Again, make sure to clearly spell out what you’re looking for in a designer and what you expect from the agreement between you and the designer. Prices will vary by the logo designer you choose.
Logo blogs…
Logo Design Love: Logo Design Love is a blog by David Airey. David is a graphic designer that specializes in brand identity. Check out his great design work here.
Logo Blog: Logo Blog discusses and posts all things related to logos. News, trends, resources, articles, etc. If it’s about logos, you’ll probably find it here.
Logo inspiration…
